Automotive Technician
We’re looking for a qualified Automotive Technician to join a high-performing franchise dealership in Whangarei, representing well-known and highly respected automotive brands.
You’ll be responsible for a wide range of servicing, diagnostics, and repair work, with much of the work focused on Japanese vehicles, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and manufacturer compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Performing servicing, maintenance, and repair work to manufacturer standards
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults efficiently and accurately
- Completing job cards and related documentation clearly and correctly
- Working closely with Service Advisors and the wider workshop team
- Ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and compliance requirements
- Contributing to a positive and productive workshop culture
About You
- Trade-qualified Automotive Technician with proven workshop experience ideally with Japanese vehicle brands such as , Nissan, Toyota, Mitsubishi and Mazda
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Team-focused with a professional attitude and strong work ethic
- Pride in workmanship and attention to detail
- Franchise dealership experience highly regarded
