Automotive Technician

We’re looking for a qualified Automotive Technician to join a high-performing franchise dealership in Whangarei, representing well-known and highly respected automotive brands.

You’ll be responsible for a wide range of servicing, diagnostics, and repair work, with much of the work focused on Japanese vehicles, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and manufacturer compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing servicing, maintenance, and repair work to manufacturer standards
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults efficiently and accurately
  • Completing job cards and related documentation clearly and correctly
  • Working closely with Service Advisors and the wider workshop team
  • Ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and compliance requirements
  • Contributing to a positive and productive workshop culture

About You

  • Trade-qualified Automotive Technician with proven workshop experience ideally with Japanese vehicle brands such as , Nissan, Toyota, Mitsubishi and Mazda
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-focused with a professional attitude and strong work ethic
  • Pride in workmanship and attention to detail
  • Franchise dealership experience highly regarded
