Our client, Pentana Solutions, a leading Automotive ERP supplier, is looking for a driven and dynamic Business Development Manager to join their high-performing Frontier Sales Team, based in Auckland.

They have significant market share in New Zealand and Australia, and operate across 100 countries globally covering an estimated 50,000 end users.

In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the charge in identifying new market opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue growth through increasing our product saturation of the Frontier product suite.

About You

This role requires a candidate that has prior Automotive industry knowledge, the capability to close a deal and have a real desire to succeed. You will be reporting directly to the NZ Sales Manager and will need to have the following experience.

  • Proven success in sales/account management – ideally in the automotive industry
  • You will be a true sales hunter and your references will back this up
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and solid business acumen
  • Excellent at building relationships and providing top-tier customer service
  • Confident and assertive with strong negotiation skills
  • Highly analytical, with a sharp eye for detail and excellent reporting abilities
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to thrive independently or in a team

In this role, you will have to

  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep up with industry trends, dealership challenges, and best practices to remain informed and insightful
  • Build smart strategies to deepen product adoption and expand engagement across your customer base
  • Consistently meet KPIs while generating sustainable revenue and boosting customer retention and satisfaction
  • Work cross-functionally, maintain clear communication, and stay on top of admin, reporting, and CRM systems to keep everything running smoothly
  • Deliver tailored solutions, ROI-focused recommendations, and engaging presentations that truly add value
  • Build strong, lasting relationships by delivering a premium customer experience from start to finish
