People & Culture Advisor

Due to continued growth across the Manukau Toyota Group, we are seeking a proactive and self-driven People & Culture Advisor to join their team.

As New Zealand’s largest Toyota dealer group, their business continues to expand, and with that growth comes the need for strong, capable people support.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in strengthening and supporting their People & Culture function.

This role will suit someone who can self-manage, think independently and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves. It will be busy and evolving, they need someone adaptable who can build structure while working at pace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting managers with end-to-end recruitment
  • Preparing employment agreements, variations and documentation
  • Coordinating onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Liaising with immigration advisors for visa matters
  • Managing probation periods, employment changes and staff milestones
  • Supporting processes including performance and salary reviews
  • Liaising with payroll to ensure documentation accuracy
  • Managing staff uniform orders
  • Assisting with HR projects and initiatives

About You

  • Previous experience in an HR or People & Culture role
  • Good working knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation
  • Confident managing recruitment and employment documentation
  • Able to work independently without constant supervision
  • Proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused
  • Friendly, approachable and comfortable building relationships across all levels
