Our client is an international freight forwarding company based at the airport. They are looking to hire someone who has previously been in an operational, customer service or sales support role in the freight forwarding industry who has the drive and attitude to learn the ropes of sales. You will work closely with the Sales Manager who is hands on and very approachable.
As a New Business Development Manager, you will be tasked with hunting new business opportunities through effective pipeline management. Focusing on air and sea freight import / export services and the best thing about this sales role is that you actually get to keep the relationship once the contract is won (a big difference compared to other freight forwarding sales roles). They hire great operational staff from the industry who really back the sales reps.
The successful candidate will come from the international freight forwarding sector either from a sales support, customer service or import / export role. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate your cold calling and winning new business abilities in the interview and someone who is a natural relationship builder.
On offer is a base salary + commission + car + phone + laptop.
