Our client, a well-known equipment company that was established over 50 years ago is seeking a new National Sales Manager to increase sales and profitability.

This company has been in operation since the 1970's and has grown from strength to strength in the automotive sector selling consumables, tools, and workshop equipment.

Recently the company has increased in size, as well as its product range, making it one of the main operators supplying equipment to the automotive trade as well as general household, DIY and other professional services.

The role will see you based in the South Auckland area overseeing the HQ for the company and its staff, as well as traveling the country, driving sales throughout. This role will see you reporting directly to the GM who controls the large corporate within Australasia.

The Role

  • Building a strong reliable team
  • Drive equipment sales throughout NZ
  • Firmly position the company as market leader
  • Develop business plans
  • Monthly reporting to the GM
  • Deliver and exceed targets
  • Maintain regular branch visits
  • Engage and grow client base
  • Effectively implement business initiatives
  • Identify clients and product requirements
  • Maximise profits through KPI's

  • Have prior managerial and sales experience
  • Be a leader and inspire others
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to present and think strategically
  • Financial acumen
  • Be agile and effective
  • Ability to understand inventory and asset management
  • Be aware of H&S protocols
  • You are an influencer and motivational
  • Industry training would be advantageous
