Service Manager

We have a rare opportunity for a driven and experienced Service Manager to join a high performing franchise in Whangaparaoa.

The successful candidate will provide a first-class customer experience as well as having exceptional organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to run an efficient, friendly service desk whilst managing a large workshop that will maximise on profits and service.

The Service Manager has a major part to play in achieving the service departments success, you will have a thorough understanding of after-sales and workshop operations.

You will be responsible for customers, technicians, workload, productivity, and efficiency, as well as assisting with parts and warranty.

The role

• Be responsible for a large service department and team environment
• Maximise workshop productivity and efficiency
• Help with processing of warranty claims
• Work closely with the parts department
• Ensure technicians training is up to date
• Adhere to Health and Safety requirements
• Set and monitor KPI's
• Surpass expectations and budgets
• Help train and recruit apprentices
• Deal with all customers in a professional, prompt, and courteous manner

About you

• The passion and drive to enhance the workshop capabilities
• Ability to monitor and maintain productivity and efficiency
• Well-presented and have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
• Technical experience and/or qualification
• Ability to deal with technical queries or issues
• Lead by example and enjoy customer service
• Be able to build morale and confidence individually and as a team
• Enjoy a busy pressurised environment and thrive on targets
